Design & Display
The V50 Lite retains the familiar V-series design with a sleek flat frame and a modern camera module. Though built with plastic, the device gets an IP65 rating and is MIL-STD-810H compliant—making it more durable than last year’s V40 Lite.
The front sports a large 6.77-inch AMOLED display, with up to 120Hz refresh rate and peak brightness of 1800 nits. It offers a premium viewing experience, although HDR support is missing.
Performance: 4G vs 5G
The 4G variant continues with the Snapdragon 685, the same chip used in the last two Lite models, offering modest performance.
In contrast, the 5G model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, which provides around 8% better performance and better power efficiency. With 12GB RAM, the 5G model also delivers improved multitasking and gaming experience.
Camera Capabilities
Both variants include a 50MP Sony IMX882 main sensor, but the secondary lens differs:
4G: 2MP depth sensor (basic portrait assistance)
5G: 8MP ultra-wide sensor (more versatile shooting)
Up front, both models sport a 32MP selfie camera, backed by Vivo’s AI-enhanced features like Aura Light Portrait, AI Erase, and Document Scanner.
Battery & Charging
This is where the Vivo V50 Lite truly shines. Packing a 6500mAh battery, it’s larger than even the regular V50. Combined with 90W fast charging, Vivo claims:
50% charge in 27 minutes
100% charge in under 58 minutes
It also supports reverse wired charging and boasts 5-year battery health—ideal for long-term usage.
Final Verdict: Should You Buy It?
The Vivo V50 Lite 4G feels underwhelming with its aging chipset and minimal upgrades over its predecessor. At nearly Rs. 38,000, many competitors already offer 5G.
However, the Vivo V50 Lite 5G is a more compelling choice. With improved performance, a versatile ultra-wide camera, more RAM, and a massive battery, it offers decent value at Rs. 45,999.
